Eyes that see
First up, the pictures. The clear one is taken from wikipedia, so copyright and all that stuff belongs there. the second is an edit. regardless, don't think about why that picture, but about the point i want to bring across. : p

Right. so one nice and clear, one blurred. I did this up after a conversation with a a few close friends; long story short, one of em got lasik done, and now has perfect eyesight, and i just said what a dream that is to me. further discussion later, a comment about cost/effectiveness for me, since affter such an op i prob still won't have perfect eyesight due to the severity of my degree, and so would still need to buy specs.
my response? "you have no idea what it is to live with a degree over 1000."
thus the pictures above. the blurred one is as close as i could photoshop it to look like how i would see the clear one without glasses. thats the world to me when i don't wear my specs.
was it enlightening to you? haha. maybe. but thats not the point.
it occured then, how similar it is to life.
there is so much going on in this world; entertainment in all its forms, a zillion stories told day to day, people to love, people to hate, wars, disasters, problems we face, jobs we work, questions with no answer, words with no weight.. the list goes on.
sometimes we just stop to wonder, whats is the point of it all? life seems, just a blur. when we know, somewhere inside, that there is something, it seems to be there, but its not clear, its like, fuzzy.
to me, to a believer, a Christian, coming before God and telling Him all this, pretty much seems like deciding to do the op; after you submit and let God fix you up (think of the Word of God like the most amazing scapel-laser ever), suddenly, everything is so much clearer.
sometimes you need to go multiple times, get fixed up again and again, sometimes you let the fogs of the world crowd in again (like getting green crap in your eyes and not washing it out), but once you turn back to Him, it gets clearer.
Till we see the world in focus. The good, the bad, and most importantly, the reason.
You then will see with eyes that see.
