My Only Need Defeats All Yearnings

It is a fresh monday morning
and we are set to go,
to places where our path will lead
even against the desires of our mortal souls.

We do this not because we can fulfill
these tasks with mind and strength,
but only because the Holy Spirit calls us
to obedience, to love, to care.

We struggle daily, we may even ignore,
the words imparted deep within;
sometimes forgetting what maketh us
and the blessings that we now live in.

But He always waits, He always forgives,
and is ready to trust, ready to recieve.
Why? why? We cannot understand,
and can only repent and choose to believe.

And so now my siblings,
of the cleasing blood of Christ
stand up, don His armour,
and prepare your life to fight
the Devil, the World,
and yes even your own old life;
till the day He calls us home
to live with Him in eternal delight.
