Wayfarer in Eternal Reality

Wandering the desolate wastes, a man stands alone. and yet his heart knows, that a place has been prepared for him. And so, he moves on...

Saturday

Losing.

Hey yup. Woke up early this morning to go to a school which my church had adopted for the past few years; the youths were holding a games carnival for the sec 1 students there. I ended up being the time-keeper (yay! less stress! ^^;;) for thier inter-house (house names were Eagle, Falcon, Hawk, Ospray) basketball and captain's ball games.

It was fun! haha... really made me miss school days. Tinge of regret of not being more active back in sec schl days; i kinda realise now how much fun i missed out on. Ah well, i saw that in many students there today too... guess its a stage some people go through. Good on those who are always enthusiatic tho, so much more fun! *Makes mental note to be more entu nowadays haha*

Anyway... the basketball games were ok; i was time keeper for the girl's matches, and they.. well didn't really know how to play haha... but it was all fun. Could see some rather... overly competitive people tho... and see how these kinda things could hurt relationships. *Makes mental note to smile even if i just got whacked in the face haha...*

Then was the captains ball matches... ahh so fun. I love captains ball. felt so gian to play! However, this was when I saw the worst trashing ever in a captains ball game.

42-0.

Goodness. The losing team was utterly trounced. By mid of 1st half they were already so demoralized that I could see another type of pain expressed literally on thier faces. Some of the more spunky ones still gave their best, but by the end of it all it must have felt horrible.

To make things worse, thier fellow house mates didn't cheer them on... that was a really horrible experience IMO. And of course the winning team was utterly merciless.

Losing hurts. There are so many things here i could talk about, but i guess the thing that comes to my mind now, is that I should stop calling people sore losers... losing hurts already. Don't make it worse. I mean, yeah they should have sportsmanship yadayada blah, but the truth of the thing is, when you lose after putting in so much effort (esp in this case), its really really painful. So if your friend gets into such a situation, i guess there aren't many words that can be of comfort... but i would say just being there helps.

Want to thank God for the great weather too tho, it turned total black skies at around 10, but prise be to God coz it ended up being mao mao yu, which IMO, is great weather to play under. For basketball anyway; captains ball was in the hall. :P

Goin to God's house tmr! Can't wait! woohoo!~ \(^-^)/

Have a wonderfully blessed happy beautiful sundayyyyy!
