Wayfarer in Eternal Reality

Wandering the desolate wastes, a man stands alone. and yet his heart knows, that a place has been prepared for him. And so, he moves on...

Week 6 - GMC(!)

Sooooo, we were gonna go to CHC, but the speaker we wanted to listen to (as according to the website, which I planned from), was not there in the end. So, it being CNY and all, we ended up going to... GMC. Home. Heh.

In a divine way, this worked out. My dad trooped in early in the morning and asked which church I was going to. Turns out he was going to GMC too. So we went together. We sat together for the service too.

Going back after a month and having communion there was not something I had planned to do. It was nice, albeit different. Perhaps it was the acoustics at the back of the hall. I had never sat there before.

Not much to say, asides from being home. Mmmm.

Sermon! Pastor Wilfred (haha senior pastor score, 4/6) spoke on "The Key To Walking In Your Destiny (Part 1 of 3)". Power la. I must admit I shut off at the BAGs bit tho. : x

Huge copy and paste of my notes next!

"We all want God's destiny for our lives! However in reality we may often wonder if we are moving into God's destiny for us. Very often we think of it in the decisions we have to make. What school, what job, what we do.

However perhaps we can learn that we do not just need to make the right decisions, but also BE the right person. We have to become the person to make the decisions God had planned for us.

Those who find the strength to do the right thing, and those who find the excuses to not to. We either be the right person who does the right thing when the world isn't, or we sink into the world and what it does.

Why is it we can't become the right person by ourselves? It's impossible! But by God all things are possible."

"How do we work out our salvation? Put in strenuous effort. If you don't work it out, you won't accomplish it. Spiritual life is similar to physical life, there's a difference between living and being alive."

"Spiritually, how you work out, is to let God work in (you). We need to put our strength into letting God work in us."

"We must let the Word of God master us, not us master the Word. We must let this happen, that the man of God may be complete, throughly equipped for every good work."

Power la.

(ps. sleepy. not editing my notes. pardon the grammar and typos.)
